The IASD Master’s degree is a M2-level training program for students who are aiming for careers in research and development in the field of artificial intelligence and data science. The Master’s program recruits among the best students who have completed a first year of Master’s degree in either computer science or mathematics. The Master’s program also recruits students in their final year of engineering school (or who have already obtained an engineering degree) in relation to the themes of the Master’s program. This is an international Master’s program, all courses are taught in English and a good practice of English is essential. Knowledge of French is recommended but not mandatory.

Application Process

The application process is competitive. A selection will be made to retain the best applications, within the limit of ninety available spots.

Opening of the application platform: March 28, 2025
Deadline for applications: June 9, 2025

A second recruitment session is also organized with the deadline of August 25, 2025, but students are strongly advised to apply during the first session, as it is likely that only few admissions will be granted during the second session.

You can apply simultaneously to both the IASD – Computer Science and IASD – Mathematics tracks but you will have to rank them according to your preference and prior background. Admission in either of the two tracks is then decided by the recruitment committee.

To apply, submit your application on the Mycandidature site of Dauphine – PSL.

Please also consult the pages providing general information about the Master’s program: IASD – Computer Science track and IASD – Mathematics track, as well as the admission procedures on the website of Dauphine – PSL.

International students must submit their application in parallel on the Étude en France site, in addition to their application on Mycandidature.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are there language requirements for the program?
No, but all courses are given in English, so that working knowledge of English is a necessity.
How do I apply for a scholarship?
Please refer to the dedicated page.
I already have a master’s degree obtained in France, can I apply?
You can, but your application will not be given priority, especially if you have recently obtained a master’s degree in a related field (AI, data science, business intelligence, etc.).
Can I obtain individual guidance for my application?

Sorry, but we receive too many requests of this sort and it is not possible to provide individual feedback on applications. In addition, the admission is a competitive process (with admission rate of about 20%) which cannot be predicted only on the basis of individual applications.

If you are interested in the program and satisfy the requirement of a validated level equivalent to a first year of Master’s program in either Computer Science or Mathematics, our recommendation is to apply.

Can I follow IASD in parallel with another degree?
Be aware that the IASD Master’s program is quite intensive (with about 300 hours of in person teaching and twelve courses to validate) with minimal flexibility. It is not reasonable to apply to IASD if you have strong constraints from another external program. Mines Paris – PSL is currently the only institution with which we have a double degree agreement.
Can I pursue the IASD Master’s program as a professional?
The IASD Master’s program is an initial training program where all students are registered as students by the Université Paris Dauphine – PSL during the year of training.
Can I pursue the IASD Master’s program as an apprenticeship?
The IASD Master’s program is an initial training program, but there is a separate part-time program associated with the IASD – Computer Science track. Learn more here.
